Ashland Energy Action Plan
Building on Ashland’s 25 X 25 Plan, our Energy Action Plan serves several purposes. It creates intention, focuses efforts, and identifies actions to engage the broader Ashland community, benefiting all residents, businesses, and institutions. Our vision is to reduce the impacts of climate change, make homes and businesses more energy efficient, and protect our community’s natural resources.
We will achieve our vision by:
- Increasing building energy efficiency with equipment upgrades and behavior changes.
- Supporting renewable energy with on-site installations and off-site subscription programs.
- Educating our community about electric vehicles and charging options.
To create our Energy Action Plan, the City of Ashland teamed up with Xcel Energy’s Partners in Energy to facilitate a series of workshops with community stakeholders to identify Ashland’s energy priorities, discuss different target audiences, and create strategies. Thank you to our community representatives who participated in these meetings!
If you have any questions or comments about the Energy Action Plan, or are interested in supporting strategy implementation, please contact the Director of Planning & Development, Steven Wiley at firstname.lastname@example.org or (715) 682-7041.
Our goal is to connect you with the right resources to help reduce the impacts of climate change, make your home or business more energy efficient, and protect our community’s natural resources.
