2017 Winter Parking Rules Have Been Suspended (with conditions)

March 21, 2017

Due to thawing conditions and lack of snow, Ashland Mayor Debra Lewis has suspended the winter parking rules. Residents will be allowed to park on residential streets overnight and will not be required to follow odd-even parking provisions. The “No Parking 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.” parking provisions in the downtown will remain in effect.

If the City receives 4 or more inches of snow, the winter parking provisions will automatically go back into effect. Residents are urged to monitor weather forecasts and …

2017 Lead Lateral Replacement Program – Grant Application Process Now Open!

The City of Ashland has obtained limited funds from the State of Wisconsin DNR in the amount of $300,000 to assist homeowners in replacing lead water service lines (LSL) on private property for projects that result in full LSL replacements.

Available funding will be used to initiate a grant program for the replacement of up to 50 private lead lateral replacements within the City of Ashland.  The City will provide grants to cover 100% of the replacement costs.   The following grant guidelines have been developed to …

The City of Ashland experienced high winds in the early morning of July 21, 2016. These high winds caused many trees blow down on both private property and in the public right-of-way. The Public Works crew is out clearing trees to open up road ways. In areas where trees fell on power lines, Xcel Energy will have to remove the lines before Public Works will remove the trees.
