Since 2014 the City has contracted with Republic Services (F/K/A Eagle Waste) for its residential waste management services. Customers with questions or concerns can contact Republic Services directly by calling 715-477-0077 or visiting them online at their website.
Fees for Garbage & Recycling Collection will increase effective January 1, 2022.
48 Gallon container $10.00/month ($0.50 increase)
64 Gallon container $15.00/month ($0.75 increase)
96 Gallon container $20.00/month ($1.00 increase)
The City of Ashland contracts for these services and fees have been unchanged since 2016. Increases will be shown on the February 2022 bi-monthly utility bill. Customers will now be responsible for the replacement of lost or damaged containers, a $75 fee will apply.
The yard waste collection schedule is advertised in the newspaper just prior to the season. Leaves and non woody vegetation must be placed in brown paper bags next to bin. Paper bags can be purchased at Ace Hardware, True Value, and Wal-Mart.
Woody vegetation must be bundled in lengths not to exceed 4 feet. This will only be picked up twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.
Yard waste can also be dropped off at the City Garage located at 2020 6th Street East. Bins are located on the east side of the building and all bins are clearly marked. Yard waste can be dropped off between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, year round.
