Request for Proposals – 6th Street W. Engineering Evaluation

The City of Ashland is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide services related to the 2016 reconstruction of West Sixth Street in the City of Ashland.  Approximately 7800 feet of the street were completely reconstructed, including new utilities, road bed and surface, curb and gutter, and sidewalks.  Portions of the street have since subsided.  The City of Ashland, together with the engineering firms and general contractor, are seeking a third party evaluation of the likely causes of the subsidence and recommendations for repairs to provide a normal (20-25 year) life expectancy for the roadway.  The goal of the evaluation is to identify acceptable long-term solutions to the subsidence, enabling the parties to avoid protracted litigation on the issue .

The City of Ashland, Wisconsin will be receiving proposals for the above noted service until 4 PM, Thursday, February 15, 2018.  Proposal documents can be picked up at the Office of the City Clerk, 601 Main Street West, Ashland, WI 54806 or found at the following location:  6th St. Eng. RFP – Jan. 2018.  Electronic submittal of proposals is allowed and encouraged.
