The City of Ashland Water Utility has experienced an exceedance in disinfection by products (DBPs), which are associated with the process used to disinfect the water supply. This is not an immediate risk to human health. However, the Utility is providing this notification to customers pursuant State and Federal Drinking Water Regulations. The Utility is working to address this issue with continued flushing and improvement of treatment systems. Customers will be notified in the event of any future exceedances.
