Book Across the Bay & the Winter Carnival
Saturday, February 14th, 2025
Save the date for the upper Midwest's most unique winter event, open to skiers and snowshoers of all ages and ability levels. The 10-kilometer Point-to-Point course, which is groomed for both classic-style and skate skiing, follows a route not on land, but over the frozen surface of Lake Superior, the world's largest lake from Washburn, WI to Ashland, WI. The event is held at night, and the course is lit by the stars above and up to 1,000 candles in ice luminaries that line the entire route. The City of Ashland will be hosting the Winter Carnival from 11am-4pm on race day. The festivities will include a vendor market, food trucks, and live music throughout the day. Be sure to join the after party with Champagne Glitter Train!

-Hog & Herring
The Vaughn Public Library will be hosting a family movie night in the big heated tent on Friday, February 13th. Featured movie is Cool Runnings, a film about four Jamaican bobsleighers that dream of competing at the Winter Olympics despite never seeing snow before. Showtime is 7pm but come down early to enjoy Friday night fish from the Fat Radish food truck beginning at 4pm! Located at the big heated tent in the Ashland Marina parking lot.
