Library Board

The Library Board works closely with the librarian and staff in the operations of the library. The Board helps to determine personnel policies and those policies that govern the operations of the library, and offers guidance in the selection of material, supplies, and equipment. The Board from time to time appoints special committees as needed.

About the Board

The Vaughn Public Library is one of Ashland’s gems, located in the heart of the Ashland Historic Downtown District. The Library Board is made up of seven members, appointed by the Mayor, for a three-year term beginning on November 1 at which time the Board elects its officers. Meetings are held monthly, on the second Thursday in the Library Meeting Room unless otherwise determined. Please see agendas and minutes on the Vaughn Library website. Special meetings may be held at any time by order of the President or at the request of two Board members. All meetings are open to members of the public.
